Nicky Romero（ニッキー・ロメロ ）は、1989年1月6日-オランダ王国ユトレヒト州アーメロンゲン出身の男性DJおよび音楽プロデューサー。プロトコル・レコーディングのオーナーである。若くして才能に目を付けられ、TiëstoをはじめFedde Le Grand、David Guetta、Calvin Harris、Avicii、Hardwellなど数々の有名プロデューサーのサポートを受けてきた。幼い頃からドラムに夢中になり、音楽の感性は群を抜いてすばらしかった。高校卒業後しばらくはバーテンダーをやっていたなど、異色な経歴の持ち主でもある。曲制作を始めてからは、オランダのDJ・プロデューサーのMadskillzに認められ、Remix制作活動を着々と進めた。2009年、David Guettaの「When Love Takes Over」のBootleg制作を手がけると、たちまち世界中で彼の曲が話題になった。そして2010年に『My Friend』をSpinnin’ Recordsからリリースすると、数々の有名EDMアーティストが彼の曲をかけるようになる。David Guettaに認められ、イビサのパーティーで共演するなど、彼の人気は数年で一挙に急上昇する。EDM以外にもPOPSのジャンルで、Rihanna (リアーナ)の「Right Now」をDavid Guettaとともにプロデュースしたり、Britney Spears (ブリトニー・スピアーズ)の「It Should Be Easy」をプロデュースするなど、活動の幅を広げている。
