MARCO BAILEY(マルコ・ベイリー)こと本名、Marco Beelenは1970年生まれ、ベルギー出身のテクノ/ダンス/エレクトロニックを得意とするDJ兼プロデューサー。80年代後半、彼が10代の頃に地元ベルギーのクラブに参加したのをきっかけにダンスミュージックのリズミカルな音楽に魅了され、それ以降音楽の世界にのめり込んできた。2000年頃からトレードマークとなったハードトラックを多数リリースして多くの話題を呼び、2001年に自身のレーベル「Elektoroniks」を設立して以降、世界中を旅して完璧なテクニックとセッションを追求した。Elektoroicsからは、自身のトラックのみならずReahead、Christian Varele、Tom Hadesなどのプロデュースも手がけ、コラボ曲なども含め多くのトラックが人気を博している。2004年からは連続でベストDJ第一位の栄冠に輝き、Prime、Session、Zync、Torturedといったレーベルから次々とキラートラックをリリース。2005年には「Metamorphose」に出演し、人気実力共に着々とキャリアを磨いてきた。また、親日家としても知られる彼は過去何度も来日しており、日本を代表するテクノDJ Q’Heyとも親交が厚く、自身のベスト・ギグは東京でのプレーだとコメントしている。2007年にクラブAgehaで録音したミックスCDのリリースも多くの話題を呼び、さらに2008年も2度目の「WIRE」への出演を果たし、日本国内での圧倒的人気ぶりを示している。2014年には新たにレーベル「MER Limited」を設立し、2015年にツアーイベント「MATERIA」を始めますます活躍の幅を広げている。近年ではMATERIAのコンセプトを形にしたレーベルも立ち上げており、よりいっそう彼のワイルドでディープなテクノサウンドが多くのファンを魅了し続けている。
